Boise took on Rohnert Park in front of a lively crowd.

The Boise Dread Kings powered past the Rohnert Park Cougars, 8-4, at Ballpark of Greenup. Albert Garcia provided some of the pop. He hit 3 home runs, while scoring 4 times and driving in 4. Boise pitcher Aaron Lasco got the win, upping his record to 7-2. Gerardo Carrion got the loss. Luke Getts closed it out for Boise, earning his 10th save.

Boise used the bat of Alex Mareno to get the win. The designated hitter spanked a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Dread Kings ahead, 6-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it altered the outcome.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Rohnert Park manager Michael Kelleher.

The 5th-place Cougars have dropped 6 straight games.
