Libertyville Polecats starter Nate Billesbach found his groove in his team's 4-3 win over the Winchester Mountaineers. Billesbach got the win, improving to 6-9. He gave up 3 hits and walked 0 over 5.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Joe Lilley notched his 2nd save of the season.

Libertyville went in front, 4-1, on Tommy Burton's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Burton hit in the top of the seventh, left Winchester pitcher Jerome Abney visibly perturbed.

"Bottom line," said Winchester skipper Mitchell Young, "we didn't play well enough to win."

At 39-50, the Polecats claim third place in the Eastern AA Northern Division.
