Mountaineers Walk It Off for 64th Win of Season
The Winchester Mountaineers picked up a win at Mountaineers Park, downing the Libertyville Polecats, 2-1. On the mound for Winchester was right-hander Brad Bixby, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Mountaineers improved to a lofty 64-23.

Batting in the bottom of the tenth, slick-fielding center fielder Ryan Barker had a real shot to win the game. Libertyville pitcher Joe Lilley was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Barker hit a run-scoring single. The Mountaineers had a walk-off triumph.

Barker said his team "played with determination."
