The Fresno Running Rebels picked up a win at Suns Field, knocking off the Aurora Suns, 7-5. Starting pitcher Luis Mora played a key role in the triumph. The win was credited to 23-year old right-handed pitcher Clint Rapson in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Armando Rivera took the loss. Jim Unknown earned the save, his 1st, for the Running Rebels.

Fresno needed the clutch hitting of Ben Heath to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Running Rebels on top, 6-5. For the game, Heath had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I felt good up there," said Heath. "I saw the ball well."

The 5th-place Running Rebels lifted their record to 39-49.
