Wildthings Drop Millionaires, 4-1
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 22-year old first baseman Jimmy Alexander, the Washington Wildthings stopped the Alcoa Millionaires, 4-1. With the win, Washington is 21-65.
Alexander made an early impact for Washington when he stroked his 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came in the bottom of the third, put the Wildthings on top, 4-0.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Washington skipper Danny Sanchez.
