In a tight tilt between the Mescalero Chiefs and the Winchester Mountaineers, Dylan Bibbs was the deciding factor. The Mescalero right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Bibbs, now 6-4, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Luis Mora recorded the save, his 23rd.

The Chiefs got an important contribution from second baseman Nate Cobb, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a cutter to right for a run-scoring double. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Chiefs ahead, 2-0.

Mescalero manager Hunter Santiago commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."

The third-place Chiefs hiked their record to 46-39.
