Bears Get Close Win Over Razor Sharks, 4-3
|
The Traverse City Bears knocked off the Mesa Razor Sharks, 4-3, in Eastern AA action at Greensboro Grounds. Traverse City pitcher and Corona, California, native Armando Ramirez had an outstanding performance. The Bears saw their record improve to 43-39.
Traverse City got a knockout punch from B.B. Bugbee. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Armando throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Traverse City manager Zach Hildebrant.
