A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Riverside Rotters and Mescalero Chiefs.

The Riverside Rotters picked up a win at Chiefs Ballpark, dropping the Mescalero Chiefs, 5-0. Mark Herrera, who is tied for 7th in the E-AA with a 9.3 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. The winner was Herrera. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Kareem Craig. Pete Mead collected save number 3.

Riverside used the hitting of Phil Galvin to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rotters on top, 4-0. For the game, Galvin had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
