The Encinitas Eskimo Brothers met little resistance from the Aurora Suns, beating them, 16-3, at Suns Field. John Andrews led the way. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 4 times and driving in 3 for Encinitas. Encinitas pitcher Chris Anderson earned the win, hiking his record to 3-0. Gerardo Cruz suffered the loss. The second-place Eskimo Brothers bumped their record to 53-28.

Encinitas used a clutch at-bat from Danny Lucena to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Eskimo Brothers ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We knocked the fire out of the ball," said Encinitas manager Logan Greening. "The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see."
