Giants Suffer One-Run Loss at New York
The New York Nightmare picked up a win at Nightmare Stadium, dropping the Detroit Giants, 6-5. Jose Contreras, who leads the AC in quality starts with 4, was the difference-maker. The defeat makes the Giants 8-17.

The Nightmare got an important contribution from right fielder Jesus Cardona, who in the bottom of the second hit a fastball to center for a 2-run double. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Nightmare ahead, 6-0.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Cardona told the New York Bulletin. "It's as simple as that."
