The Boise Dread Kings extended their winning streak.

The Boise Dread Kings withstood an impressive performance by Corpus Christi center fielder Gabe Howard to defeat the Mermen, 7-4, at Mermen Field. Howard went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Luke Getts earned the save for Boise, his 8th.

Boise used a clutch at-bat from Aaron Davenport to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Dread Kings ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Sean Drummond.

Boise has now won 6 games in a row.
