The timely hitting of Ricky Colon helped the Boise Dread Kings down the Corpus Christi Mermen, 7-3. Colon went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Dread Kings. The triumph puts Boise at 45-36 for the season.

Boise used the timely hitting of Tim Plowman to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Dread Kings ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Boise manager Sean Drummond.
