Thanks in large part to designated hitter Oscar de Leon, the Winchester Mountaineers beat the Aurora Suns, 6-4. de Leon went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The save was credited to Mike Davenport, his 9th. Winchester is looking good at 66-14.

de Leon had a game-changing double in the top of the seventh. On a 2-1 slider from Kevin McGaha, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Mountaineers a 3-2 lead. It was the 7th double of the year for de Leon.

"I was able to square up some pitches," said de Leon.
