Boise turned a good effort from starter Pat Higginbotham into a win over the Rohnert Park Cougars at Ballpark of Boise. The Dread Kings won the game, 4-1. Boise sits in third place in the Eastern AA Southen Division at 41-38.

The Dread Kings got a big at-bat from center fielder Joe Cross. For the game, Cross went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Boise a 3-1 lead.

"Makes our job easier," said Cross, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
