Cougars Beat Alcoa, 4-3

Rohnert Park parlayed a decent outing from starter Tadeu Beles into a solid win over the Alcoa Millionaires. The final score was 4-3. Rohnert Park reliever Edgar Quesada was the winner. His record is now 2-5. Armando Flores took the loss. Rohnert Park now sits at 31-47, while Alcoa falls to 23-55.
The Cougars were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 26-year old right fielder Tony Barker landed a big blow. He turned a full count fastball from Armando Flores into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Ballpark of Greenup denizens into a frenzy and sent the Cougars home with a thrilling 4-3 win.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Rohnert Park manager Josh Dix.
