Rohnert Park used the stroke of Michael Nava to get the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cougars ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

Nava told a Rohnert Park Chronicle reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
