Razor Sharks Earn 2-1 Win Versus Polecats
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Mesa Razor Sharks and Libertyville Polecats.

In a low-scoring contest between the Mesa Razor Sharks and the Libertyville Polecats, Dustin Mitchell was the X factor. The Mesa right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Mitchell got the win, improving to 6-8. He gave up 3 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. David Cooper locked down his 1st save.

Mesa took a 2-1 lead on Paul Adam's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Adam hit in the top of the eighth, left Libertyville pitcher Gabe Thomas shaking his head.

"Bottom line," said Libertyville skipper Armando Cerda, "we didn't play well enough to win."

The Razor Sharks move to 34-42 with the win, while the Polecats drop to 35-41.
