Greene Stars in 9-5 Captains Win
Captains designated hitter Marcus Greene left his imprint on his team's 9-5 win over the Boston Whistlers. Greene belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for Tampa Bay in the contest. The win belonged to Jon Gunter in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Kory Pullar took the loss for Boston. Earning his 2nd save for Tampa Bay was Jeff Sharp.

Tampa Bay used a well-timed hit by Ron Eckhardt to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Captains ahead, 7-5. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
