The Traverse City Bears bested the Rohnert Park Cougars by a score of 7-6, in 12 innings. Ryan Collins deserved much of the credit. On the day, Collins went 3 for 6 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Bears. Sam Powers picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Mike Garcia was tagged with the loss. After today's action, Traverse City sits at 41-33; Rohnert Park slips to 33-41.

It could have been a different outcome for Traverse City, had it not been for David Crawford, the 22-year old second baseman . Crawford contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 12th inning to put Traverse City up, 7-6.

Crawford told a Traverse City Citizen reporter that he felt "elated" after the win.
