Millionaires Stymied by Mountaineers, Salazar
Winchester got a strong outing from Jorge Salazar as the Mountaineers defeated the Alcoa Millionaires, 6-0, at Mountaineers Park. The Eastern AA Southen Division-leading Mountaineers are 59-13.

Salazar, who has sometimes raised the ire of coaches and teammates with his famously lackadaisical work ethic, turned in a spirited effort. The hurler struck out 5 in 8.2 innings and gave up no runs.

Salazar moves to 5-0 on the year with 38 strikeouts.

In comments to the Winchester Herald, Salazar admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
