Boise Earns 6-5 Win
|
The Boise Dread Kings did just enough to nip the Alcoa Millionaires, 6-5, in 10 innings. Boise pitcher Aaron Lasco, in particular, had a standout performance. Steve Wright notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record now sits at 5-2. The win elevated the Dread Kings to 37-32.
Alex Marquez played the role of hero for Boise. In the bottom of the tenth, he launched a solo home run off Bill Dixon to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.
Marquez told the Boise Bulletin: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
