Williams Torches Bears for 5 Hits
|
It was a parade of hits for Craig Williams of the Mesa Razor Sharks at Greensboro Grounds.
Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Williams finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Razor Sharks to a win, 9-1.
"Williams was really good and we were really bad," groaned Bears manager Jeff Lacher. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."
Craig Williams hit a GRAND SLAM off Nick Gates in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
In 2026 Williams has hit at a .292 clip with 70 hits, 11 home runs, 42 RBIs and has scored 30 times.
