At Field of the Polecats, the Mescalero Chiefs and Libertyville Polecats were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Mitch Wojciechowski never let Mescalero get something going. The Libertyville right-hander commanded his changeup in pitching the Polecats to a 4-1 win. Wojciechowski picked up the win for Libertyville, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 5-3.

The Polecats got a big at-bat from left fielder Rich Kotlar. For the game, Kotlar was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Libertyville a 3-1 lead.
