Conroy Hill was outstanding against Mescalero. The right-hander had a sinker that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Polecats 5-3 win. Hill yielded no runs over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 9. His record improves to 3-2. Ruben Torres notched his 4th save in 7 chances.

Rich Kotlar had a big 2-run double for the Polecats in the bottom of the second inning. With Libertyville leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Manny Velez, who is tied for 3rd in the E-AA in wins with 6, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Polecats ahead, 4-0.

Hill attributed the win to his team's "grittiness."

The Polecats are now 32-34.
