The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Kody Garcia came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Riverside pitcher Pete Mead, he hit a 1-0 changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Rohnert Park on top, 4-3.
