The Fresno Running Rebels converted a terrific effort from starter Jared Robbins into a win over the Alcoa Millionaires at Alcoa Grounds. The Running Rebels won the game by a final score of 4-1. Robbins, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 5 walks. Humberto Lopez closed the game out for Fresno, earning his 2nd save.

Fresno used a clutch at-bat from Marc Breese to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Running Rebels ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Jared was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Fresno manager Hunter Santiago.

The setback makes Alcoa 24-43.
