Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Riverside Rotters and Boise Dread Kings.

The Riverside Rotters stopped the Boise Dread Kings, 9-3, behind an impressive performance from Bob Ontiveros. The 23-year old left fielder made life miserable for Boise pitching. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Ryan Butler picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-4. He struck out 10 in 8 innings.

In the bottom of the fifth, Riverside designated hitter Greg Mattox had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Mattox stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 5-3, Riverside. For the game, he was 1-3 with a walk.
