Traverse City Jukes Past Libertyville, 4-3

Traverse City parlayed a decent outing from starter Jason Casale into a solid win over the Libertyville Polecats. The final score was 4-3. Reliever Jason Eppert picked up the win. His record improves to 2-5. Gabe Thomas took the loss. Despite the win, the Bears have a lousy 22-42 record.
The decisive blow was delivered by Mike Gainer in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old left-handed pitcher Gabe Thomas to win the game for Traverse City. The home crowd went nuts.
After the game, Traverse City manager Jeff Lacher applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
