The home crowd had a good time watching the Libertyville Polecats and Riverside Rotters get after it.

The Riverside Rotters scooped up a win at Rotters Ballpark, dumping the Libertyville Polecats, 8-2. Chase Lovett, who is tied for 8th in the E-AA in strikeouts with 58, was essential to his team's success. The Rotters sport a record of 41-20.

Bob de Leon, who is tied for 4th in the E-AA in stolen bases with 13, chipped in a 3-run home run for Riverside in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 runs batted in.

Lovett pitched well, despite being a bit under the weather. "To be honest, I was sick before the game," he said. "Just a stomach bug."
