The Hollywood Stars picked up a win at Hollywood Grounds, downing the Mexico City Aztecs, 5-4. On the mound for Hollywood was right-hander Oscar Malave, who played a pivotal role in the win. Hollywood reliever Pat Eisen snagged the win, upping his record to 3-0. Jeff Cox shouldered the loss. Hollywood is now 13-11.

Hollywood got a knockout punch from Jamal Martin. The catcher hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Mexico City manager Pete Clark said, following the tough loss.
