Diaz Hits 2 home runs in Eskimo Brothers Win
At Red Barons Ballpark, the Washington Wildthings and Encinitas Eskimo Brothers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Encinitas left fielder Angelo Diaz helped his team beat the Washington Wildthings, 19-7. Diaz, who is tied for 4th in the E-AA in triples with 4, went 4 for 6 for the Eskimo Brothers. The winning pitcher was Ryan Simpson. His record now stands at 11-0. The right-hander went 6 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits for the Eskimo Brothers.

With one out in the top of the eighth, Matthew Alexander had a game-changing hit. The Eskimo Brothers shortstop slammed a 2-run single off Jim Unknown, making the score 9-6, Encinitas.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Diaz.

The Eskimo Brothers have an impressive 38-21 record.
