Treadway Silences Corpus Christi Bats

The Winchester Mountaineers topped the Corpus Christi Mermen, 4-1, in Eastern AA action at Mermen Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Winchester pitcher Brian Treadway. Getting the save was Steve Gryder, his 13th. Winchester, now 43-14, has won 13 straight games.
Treadway confounded Corpus Christi hitters. Over 8.1 innings, he allowed 1 run on 1 hit.
