Running Rebels Pull Out Late Win, 7-6

The Fresno Running Rebels handed the Boise Dread Kings a loss at Running Rebels Ballpark. The final score was 7-6. Major production was provided by Alex Mieles for Fresno. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 3 runs and drove in 2. He also added 1 walk. Fresno pitcher Humberto Lopez got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Joey Byler got the loss. Fresno is now 35-23, while Boise is 29-29.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Fresno trailing 6-5, Jared Scafidi hit a fastball from Joey Byler to right for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Running Rebels had a walk-off win.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Scafidi, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
