Indianapolis pitcher Aaron Daniels had a large part in his team beating the Cincinnati Royals, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The win gives Indianapolis a record of 13-11.

Jerry Robinson, who is tied for 2nd in the NC in home runs with 9, aided the Indianapolis cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter was 2-4 with 2 singles.
