Rebels Take Down Yard Dogs, 2-1
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Jackson Rebels and the Mobile Yard Dogs, Jason Stoute was the X factor. The Jackson right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. The 4th-place Rebels improved to 22-30.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Jackson designated hitter Danny Apodaca, facing T.J. Briscoe, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Rebels the 2-1 win.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Mobile manager Gil Gomez.
