The Encinitas Eskimo Brothers beat the Alcoa Millionaires, 6-4. Encinitas pitcher and Cheonan, South Korea, native Chi-yong Har led the way. Ken Griffey sewed up the save, his 11th. The second-place Eskimo Brothers have won 5 straight games.
Encinitas took a 5-4 lead on Tim Schellin's 8th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Schellin hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Alcoa pitcher Julio Matias visibly frustrated.
In postgame comments to the Encinitas Bulletin, Schellin said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
