Fans watched the Rohnert Park Cougars and the Mesa Razor Sharks fight to the finish.

Mesa got a terrific performance from pitcher Bobby Villasenor, but it wasn't enough to beat the Rohnert Park Cougars. Rohnert Park won the Ballpark of Greenup contest, 2-1. Villasenor threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Jason Senita wrapped it up, recording his 5th save.

In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, the Razor Sharks allowed the Cougars to take a 2-1 lead on a base hit and Mesa error.

"Bottom line," said Mesa skipper Danny Schexnayder, "we didn't play well enough to win."

The 5th-place Cougars now sit at 24-29.
