Rotters Beat Traverse City, 3-2

The Riverside Rotters took Traverse City pitcher Kevin Gibbons's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Rotters Ballpark. The final score had Riverside getting past the Bears, 3-2. Gibbons went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 9. Riverside reliever Ben Foster picked up the win to move to 3-2. Mike Gunter suffered the loss. Riverside, at 33-18, is 2½ games up in the Eastern AA Northern Division.
Riverside got a knockout punch from David Moore. The right fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
Moore told a Riverside Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
