The Winchester Mountaineers beat the Fresno Running Rebels, 9-2. Winchester pitcher and Uvalde, Texas, native Ryan Warren led the way. Warren, now 3-4, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. Earning his 1st save for Winchester was Travis Erb.

Gabe Osburn had a big 3-run home run for the Mountaineers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Winchester leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a slider from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Lou Cremer and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Mountaineers on top, 5-1.

"Feels good to get the job done," Osburn said after the game.

The win puts Winchester at 42-10 this season.
