Reapers Top Sea Turtles, 1-0, Behind Triplett
|
Reedy River Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles and Carolina Reapers.
The Carolina Reapers converted a terrific effort from starter Jake Triplett into a win over the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles at Reedy River Stadium. The Reapers won the game by a final score of 1-0. Kevin Daniels notched his 3rd save of the season.
Triplett was in the zone, shutting down Daytona Beach hitters over 7 innings. Triplett, who threw 105 pitches, allowed no runs on 3 hits. He also tallied 6 punchouts.
"Jake's stuff looked really, really crisp," said Julio Rodriguez, the Reapers manager.
The Sea Turtles, now 7-16, continue their poor start.
