Rotters Need Extra Innings to Top Millionaires, 4-3
|
The Riverside Rotters withstood a good performance by Alcoa left fielder Steve Kettle to knock off Alcoa, 4-3, in 11 innings. Kettle was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Alcoa is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 7 in a row.
Riverside took advantage of an error in the top of the 11th inning. The game was tied, 3-3, when Chris Terry hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Rotters in front, 4-3.
