Running Rebels Stick Razor Sharks with 7-5 Loss
The Fresno Running Rebels defeated the Mesa Razor Sharks, 7-5, at Running Rebels Ballpark. Fresno designated hitter David Villanueva had a superb performance. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The winning pitcher was Josh Lienhard. He's now 2-1. He went 6 innings, allowing no runs on 6 hits for the Running Rebels. Marvin Henderson closed the game out for Fresno, earning his 3rd save.

Paul Franceschini had a big hit for Fresno in the bottom of the eighth inning. With Fresno leading 5-0, Franceschini hit a 2-run double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Running Rebels up, 7-0.

"David is still learning," said Running Rebels manager Hunter Santiago. "The sky's the limit for him."

The Running Rebels are now 30-20.
