The 8-4 Boise win over Corpus Christi was due in large part to Jorge Figueroa. The Dread Kings second baseman went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs. Adam Matthews got the win, improving to 3-4. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 5 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The triumph puts Boise at 29-19 for the season.

In the bottom of the first inning, designated hitter Alex Mareno had a 3-run home run for Boise. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Dread Kings on top, 3-0.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Boise skipper Sean Drummond.
