Mountaineers Upend Bears, 6-2
|
Mountaineers designated hitter Billy Carroll put his stamp on his team's 6-2 win over the Traverse City Bears. Carroll was 2-3 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times for Winchester in the contest. Marty Capone, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 4.
