Riverside starter Andy Shoemaker pitched well against the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers at EBDBBNB Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 9-3. Riverside now sports a record of 30-16.

In the top of the eighth, Kyle Macrina, who is tied for 5th in the E-AA in home runs with 12, delivered for Riverside. That's when he belted a 2-run home run, putting the Rotters up, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a climactic one.

"Things didn't bounce our way," said Encinitas skipper Logan Greening.
