Rotters Fall Short, 5-4, at Encinitas
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Encinitas Eskimo Brothers take on the Riverside Rotters.

The Encinitas Eskimo Brothers weathered a fine game by Riverside right fielder Francisco Fierro to upend the Rotters, 5-4, at EBDBBNB Park. Fierro was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Dustin Engstrom earned the win for Encinitas. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 3-0.

Chris Dietel was vital to the Encinitas win. He was 1-4. In the bottom of the third with one out, Dietel hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 2-1, in favor of the Eskimo Brothers.

"Both teams played hard," said Encinitas manager Logan Greening.

The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Eskimo Brothers.
