Soggy conditions did not keep Fresno and Riverside from playing their scheduled game.

The Fresno Running Rebels marched over the Riverside Rotters, 12-4, at Rotters Ballpark. Dave Semones, who is tied for 7th in the E-AA in runs scored with 43, led the charge. He was 2-3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times. Lou Cremer got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 4 runs on 4 hits in 6.1 innings.

Fresno used a clutch hit from Clay Tucker to get the win. The catcher drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Running Rebels ahead, 9-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"Every manager loves to see an offensive outburst from his team," said Fresno skipper Hunter Santiago.

Fresno occupies 4th place in the Eastern AA Southen Division at 28-19.
