Mountaineers Rally Late to Clip Mesa
The Winchester Mountaineers defeated the Mesa Razor Sharks, 12-11, in 11 innings. Marcos Villarreal, who is tied for 2nd in the E-AA with a 1.308 OPS, played a big role. Villarreal was 5-7 with 2 home runs, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 6 for the Mountaineers in the win. The Mountaineers boast a remarkable 37-8 record.

The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Villarreal delivered big-time for Winchester, stroking a dramatic run-scoring double off D.J. Attridge. The game-changing hit put the Mountaineers on top, 12-11.
