Tight Tilt Goes to Millionaires, 4-3
|
The Aurora Suns could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Juan Barron into a win. Instead, the Alcoa Millionaires prevailed, 4-3. Barron threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Alcoa reliever Felix Marquez snagged the win, upping his record to 4-1. Josh Edwards shouldered the loss. The Millionaires go to 12-31 with the win.
Had Corey Routh not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Routh hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Millionaires.
"We did a lot of things right," said Routh.
