The Mesa Razor Sharks defeated the Aurora Suns, 5-2, in part because of left fielder David Van Sant. Van Sant went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs for the Razor Sharks. The Razor Sharks, at 27-16, sit in second place in the Eastern AA Southen Division.

Mesa used a well-timed hit by Alevina Dano to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Razor Sharks ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Dano.
